Change Success

It is always helpful to learn how others have succeeded in implementing change. Included below are case studies that you might find useful.

Metaxa ERP implementation
The case illustrates the breadth and complexity of an IT-enabled change program. It demonstrates how business processes were redesigned and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) package was selected and implemented in Metaxa, a major subsidiary of a multinational company, Grand Metropolitan, now formed as Diageo.
Boeing777
The commercial aircraft manufacturing industry is dominated by two competitors; EADS NV (Airbus) and Boeing. It is a business fraught with very high product development costs, high risks, and deferred profits. The risks are increased because there are so few customers. If major airlines are not pleased with the finished product, sales will never be enough to cover costs. Sales of a new plane must be in the hundreds before the fixed costs of design and development are covered.
Beth Israel Deconess Medical Center
In 1990 the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) , one of the top three hospitals in Boston, and a Harvard Medical School teaching facility, was losing millions annually and under Massachusetts State law was in jeopardy of closure.
